Quinta Montes Molina
This beautiful mansion was built around 1905. It was purchased by the Montes Molina family 10 years later and has been maintained beautifully ever since then. It is furnished with the original furniture of that period, and the four generations that have occupied the house, (and continue to today), have kept it in optimum condition
Paseo Montejo was the main Avenue during the golden years of Yucatan, graced with big beautiful homes owned by landowners, sisal traders and businessmen. By walking this avenue, you will be able to see the exterior of the few remaining such mansions. However, the only one open to the public for viewing is La Casa Montes Molina.
Inside the Casa-Museo Montes Molina you will admire European furniture, Carrara marble floors, lovely baccarat and Murano crystal chandeliers, chime clocks, Art Deco pieces, porcelain and alabaster sculptures, the family chinaware, beautiful antique furniture and decorative pieces from 80 to 120 years old
